Constantly comparing yourself to those around you? Can’t believe you just ate “that”? Then you know the traps and the hopelessness that follows. Once you know “who” you are, the next step is to determine where you want to go. As Zig Ziglar famously said, ”If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.” So where do you want to take your health? Set on losing 15 pounds? Looking to lower your blood pressure, body fat or cholesterol? Need to get in shape for an adventurous trip? Great! Those are all solid goals and your Healthstylist will work with you to identify, clarify and pursue them. To live your best and healthiest self, you have to have a tribe. Obviously this includes your family, but also your friends, neighbors, co-workers. They are all on your health journey with you and have huge impact in your overall health, not just from a social and mental health standpoint, but also physical! Your tribe greatly influences your health decisions and outcomes. Do you spend too much time with people that have a bad relationship with food, don’t care about their health, or participate in harmful behaviors? You become who you surround yourself with. Proverbs 27: 17 says it this way…Just as Iron sharpens iron, so one man/woman, sharpens another!
Your HealthStylist will provide advice and accountability throughout your health journey. But for your health style to be sustainable, you must also have others around you. They don’t need to have your same style per say, but they need to be a positive, encouraging influence on your health journey. Our group sessions offer a great way to connect with other like-minded folks. They are also the most affordable way to engage with a HealthStylist.
